US is deploying an anti-missile shield in Europe to protect NATO from Iranian ballistic missiles threat. A first alert radar in Turkey, an anti-missile Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense Systems which has been switched on in 2016 in Romania, a second one is scheduled to be switched on in Poland in 2020. The complete shield will be completed by ships and radar installations. Russia is warning that this project is threatening the peace in central Europe. |
